Twenty10 is a community-based, non-profit, NSW state-wide organisation, working with and supporting people of diverse genders and sexual orientations, their families and their communities, specifically those under the age of 26. They aim to be a beacon of strength and acceptance by supporting individuals to build resilience and achieve their potential.
To launch their youth event at the 2009 Mardi Gras they wanted a brand logo, hero image and press ad that represented their diverse and youthful audience, as well as drawing attention to their newly launched brand mark.
A strong, bold slab-serif was used to create a modern, powerful impact on the audience. The hero image was meticulously crafted using a rainbow of watercolour pencils, the colours and letters bleeding together to create a classically flawed yet ultimately beautiful image.
