Darren Middleton's latest album, Translations, is a very personal recording. His first solo album since finding success as a guitarist/songwriter with Brisbane band Powderfinger, it is an intimate translation of his life over the past few years.
The album artwork continues this theme, being a visual translation of Darren's physical form as he plays, writes, and records his music. A collage of four drawings reflects his movement and poise. Fine, sans-serif typography keeps the packaging clean and modern. Throughout the collateral, irregular pastel scribbles and illustrative interpretations of sound and beats support the colourful hero image.
